These gorgeous earrings are made from Tonga tapa that has been transformed by our friends at Fele Home, and then encased in resin by Koloa Jewellery.
Our collaborations support artist/makers across the Moana to share their beautiful traditional artworks and ways of making. This is our 11th collaboration in this series, and our fourth with Fele Home and friends.
The resin piece is approximately 2cm in length (the hooks can be long (7cm altogether) or short). All findings are hypoallergenic. The resin is cast in our Auckland studio to showcase the designs and patterns as selected by Koloa Jewellery. Each piece is unique and handmade; any flaws are indicative of the nature of handmade pieces and add to the specialness of each koloa.
